From the minute I met Megan, I knew she was special.  At our initial meeting last year, we must have talked business for all of 10 minutes before spending the next 3.5 hours chatting it up like old friends!  She is thoughtful, sweet, incredibly generous and has a heart of gold.  So when the engagement session came around, I was very excited to meet the man lucky enough to win this girl’s heart.  Needless to say, it did not take long to see why these two are so perfect together!  Matt is hilarious, incredibly kind and one look at the way that he looks at her and its crystal clear just how madly he adores her.  If you haven’t heard their adorable love story yet, you can catch up here! But right now, let’s focus on their Milagro Farms wedding!

Milagro Farms Vineyard and Winery

Their wedding was held at the incredibly beautiful Milagro Farms Vineyard and Winery and it couldn’t have been a more stunning day!  All of the gorgeous green and yellow trees (including the same incredible tree from their engagement session that won 1st place in an international photography competition!), rustic cottages, willow trees, vineyard and lake make for such a gorgeous and picture-perfect venue.  From the second we arrived, it was nothing but smiles and laughter all day!  Their sweet families and friends were so warm and friendly and welcomed us with open arms, it was as though everyone there were all one big family for the day.  And it was absolutely perfect.

I could go on for ages about how beautiful the wedding was.  But finding the right words to accurately sum up the beauty and love present on this day is proving to be an impossible task, so I think I’ll let the images take over from here…  ;)  Enjoy!!

How cute are their robes??

The lace wrapped around the bouquet was from Megan’s great-grandmother’s wedding dress that she wore back in 1920.  How incredibly special is that?

There were so many sweet mother/daughter moments throughout the day! :’)

I am so in love with how they incorporated her great-grandmother’s lace into the bouquet!  So beautiful.

They absolutely nailed their beautifully choreographed dance!  A standing ovation well deserved!

One of my favorite stories from the night was one that Matt’s best man, Zach, shared during his speech.  Megan and Matt lived just down the street from each other for years before they finally connected (you can read all about their love story here).  But apparently Matt had his eye on Megan long before she even realized.  Zach shared that one afternoon while he and some friends were hanging out at Matt’s house, Matt suddenly called them over to the window.  He then proceeded to point out Megan as she walked her dog past his house and told the guys point blank “See that girl? I’m going to marry her.”  I mean, seriously?  My heart definitely melted into a little puddle after hearing that.

This moment, this moment right here!  Midway through his Thank You speech he glanced over at his beautiful bride and suddenly got very quiet for a moment.  He then looked out at everyone and muttered “Agh I love this girl, its so annoying.  Every time I look at her I forget what I was going to say.”  Does it get any sweeter than that?  I’m telling you… the amount of love on this day was just overwhelming.  So beautiful!

Megan and Matt, you two are so incredibly sweet.  I am so honored that you trusted me with capturing your wedding day.  It was an incredibly beautiful day and I feel very privileged to have been there to witness it all, and even more privileged to get to call you friends!  I wish you two so much love and happiness in the years to come (and can’t wait for our next lunch date)!! <3
