Before I share their Santa Rosa Valley Park engagement session with you, here’s a little of Hannah & Matt’s love story!
These two met online back in 2014. They had been talking for almost 4 months before deciding to go on their first date at the Calabasas Commons. Matt’s recount of the date had me chuckling: “We had our first date at Marmalade Cafe for brunch. I told her she was pretty.” Ha! And the rest, they say, is history!
The Proposal
Theirs is not your typical proposal story, but I absolutely love it! In Hannah’s words: “Well I told him we were getting engaged, I picked out the ring, told him when it was ready and we picked Santa Barbara for the proposal together and told him I thought horse back riding would be fun…” Gotta love a girl who takes charge, am I right ladies? ;) Now from Matt: “After a 3hr horse back ride through the hillside of Santa Barbara and the beach, we went to our hotel, took a quick dip in the pool then headed to a beautiful dinner at Santa Barbara’s finest steakhouse. We then went back to the beach late at night where I got on one knee and asked her to be my wife and she said yes!” From Hannah: “And even though we both knew it was coming, we both still cried.” How incredibly sweet is that!?
I have enjoyed every second getting to know these two and am so excited to share their wedding with you soon as well! Enjoy the photos!
