Whether it's big, small or just you and your partner - your wedding day is still your wedding day!

It's becoming more and more popular for couples to opt out of the traditional idea of a wedding and instead choose to elope or celebrate their intimate wedding with just their closest friends and family present.

Whether you have decided to keep the guest count low because of COVID-19, or have been dreaming up a more personal and intimate way to celebrate your special day from the beginning - I'm here to encourage you!  This day is about YOU and your story and it deserves to be remembered forever!

This celebration is about your unity and this exciting next chapter in your lives together.   Having an intimate wedding or elopement helps to ensure that you don't get caught up exerting all your energy trying to please everyone else.  Instead, it helps to keep the focus on YOU and what this day means for you.

celebrating you

Straight up, planning a more intimate type of wedding is far less stressful.  And if I'm being completely honest, I am all about that.  When you are less concerned about everything coming together and pleasing everyone involved, you get to redirect your energy and attention back onto what's truly important: you and your partner.  Which takes me to my last point...

no stress

Intimate weddings are FILLED with emotion.  There is something so special about surrounding yourself with only your closest friends and family on a day like this.  People tend to be much more willing to be vulnerable and express their emotion in smaller settings.  Documenting these raw and authentic moments is everything to me and my couples.

POPULAR VENUES & LOCATION IDEAS TO ELOPE IN Texas

If you can't find a place in Texas for your elopement, then head for one of the national parks.  Popular choices are Yosemite, Yellowstone, Acadia, & Glacier National Park.  Or head out of the country for an even more adventurous elopement!  My personal favorites:  France, Switzerland, southern Germany, Scotland, Ireland, Norway and the coast of Italy.

If none of the above are viable options, look into renting out a home (maybe on a lake?)!  You might be surprised at the beautiful and unique options you may find!

There are few places more meaningful than either the place where you grew up, or the new home that you two now share together.
Get creative in your backyard and design a tiny oasis perfect for a smaller wedding.
If those won't work, you could also reach out to family and friends and see if they wouldn't mind hosting your small event.

Many local venues will rent out smaller sections of their venue for either just a ceremony or also to host a small reception!  And now more than ever.  So, don't rule out your favorite venues without asking!
There are also plenty of small venues specifically designed to host intimate events.
Below are a few of my favorite venues in DFW that are happy to cater to your intimate wedding needs:

Megan f.

Stefani is an absolute sweetheart and she’s got a great personality.  She really gets to know you as a couple as best she can before the shoot which made it feel more like our friend was taking our photos.  Her attention to detail is one of the things that I love most and she just has the eye to capture the perfect moments.  She goes above and beyond to make everything special.

This girl is all around amazing!
