Saticoy Country Club Wedding

It’s been nearly 1 year since Nina and Zak’s incredibly fun engagement session over at Cafe Firenze; the really beautiful and cozy bar/restaurant where they met over in Moorpark. But when I arrived the morning of their wedding day, it felt like just yesterday that we were laughing and cracking jokes over drinks at their favorite bar. These two are so genuine and down-to-earth, it’s been such a pleasure getting to know them and an honor to document their story!

The Wedding Day

The weeks leading up to their wedding were wet. Extremely wet. But thankfully the clouds had dried up just a few days before their big day; and all they left behind were gorgeous lush greenery everywhere you looked. Making Saticoy Country Club an even more spectacular backdrop for their beautiful outdoor wedding!

From the beautiful ceremony that overlooked the golf course and beyond (it’s such a stunning view, you’ll see what I mean). To the killer reception and dance party that lasted all night. (A huge shout out to Jordan Music Entertainment for absolutely killing it with the music all night!) Despite a little wind here and there, I couldn’t have hoped for a nicer day for the two of you, Nina and Zak. It was so beautiful!

Back when we first met, these two told me that they didn’t really consider themselves a “romantic couple”. That they felt they were more “goofy/silly” than romantic (and goofy/silly, they are, most definitely – I wish I had recorded Zak’s vows; they were one of a kind, to say the least! Ha!) But what I saw between these two was definitely romance. It was simply REAL romance. The huge smile and gleam in Zak’s eye when he first saw Nina walking towards him in her wedding dress. The way Nina laughed from her gut when Zak joked around. Even the way Zak never let Nina’s hand go or hesitated for a second to kiss and love on Nina in between some coughing throughout the day. Your love is silly and fun, but so genuine; and if that’s not real romance, then I don’t know what is! (Side note, Nina makes being sick look GOOD, doesn’t she?? So beautiful!)
