The Venue
Oasis Tranquilo is a unique wedding venue only 5 miles from Granbury’s historic square. It will take you from “the heart of Texas, to the tropics of Texas”. The owners, Vicki and Tracy, carefully planned the size of the venue, allowing for events averaging up to 200 guests. A number that accommodates larger weddings, but still has a feeling of quaintness.
The property initially began as a Bed & Breakfast and quickly expanded to include a full wedding & special events venue. The tropical theme of the B&B is in the overall landscaping of the newly constructed venue. As more palms and banana trees blend into the landscape. And the mix of colorful landscaping, stone, cedar, and natural materials for drives, walkways, planters, and patio gives an authentic look of old Mexico. Surely, it is a unique blend of styles and cultures.
Walk into the venue, and feel the style of the old Spanish Mission. The color palette is that of historic Mexico, with plenty of cedar effects and vibrant combinations of paint. Overall, this look gives the whole venue an upscale and relaxed atmosphere.
The Main Room
The venue’s main room has an eclectic look with naturally aged clay floors and warm wall colors. This new building takes on the look of a historic structure. “Elegant and sophisticated” are the words used by those who enter the venue. Surely, every detail is thought out throughly.
Lighting is an important detail for any event. To adapt to any type of event they have a wide variety of lighting. This also includes special-built glass chimney lights with electronic wax candles and both porch and post lamps with torch-effect bulbs.
The floor plan allows for food and beverages to be separated from gift tables. Or an altar area for celebrating wedding days or a celebration of life. In addition, a commercial kitchen in one corner allows for Vicki’s baking, as she has her own on-site bakery. Capable of designing and bringing to life your dream wedding cake.
The Saloon-style Bar & Groom’s Room
One of the surprise features is the mahogany bar and saloon-style bar back. As a result, this will make your preferred drink taste as if it came from an authentic 17th-century saloon. While the bridal party is across the property in the tropical-themed B&B preparing for the big day. The groom and groomsmen take a page from the old west by entering their own hidden “Groom’s Room”. Accessed by sliding the bar back to the side, revealing a hidden room. Furnished with a reclining leather couch, big-screen TV, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, and yes… a keg-orator! The speakeasy/man cave is a great place for your groom and his party to hang out before you say your “I Do’s”!
Restrooms
The brightly colored restrooms are indoors, without having to exit the facility in uncertain weather. In addition, there is a shower room.
The Experience
Other than the look and feel of the actual building at Oasis Tranquilo, the shining star of any outdoor wedding at this venue is the magnificent ancient oak tree. In addition, with its canopy reaching almost 100 feet in width, this wonderful tree makes for an outstanding location to exchange vows. It also makes a statement when it comes to your wedding photos. This wonder of nature is a guaranteed way to add an outside, natural feel to your wedding.
Add the soft feel of the outdoors with flowers and greenery. With guests seated on the natural greenery below the oak. You may choose to add an aisle runner leading up to the base of the grand oak, as well as flower petals and dusting your path. Add wrought iron flower baskets to the sides of the archway. And flowering baskets from the tree’s branches.
However you decide to decorate this fabulous backdrop for your special day, it will always make a true statement for you and your guests.
FAQs
The venue was specifically designed to be a location for indoor and/or outdoor weddings! An outdoor event can easily be transformed into an indoor event should the weather change. Outdoor events are possible by arranging the seating on the circular driveway, under the grand oak, and/or under the covered patio.
Oasis Tranquilo is designed for events with a maximum of 200 guests. Table seating inside at 125 guests, still leaves room for those who wish to enjoy your event by dancing. However, inside seating can accommodate up to 150 without a dance floor. The adjacent patio will seat approximately 65 guests.
Oasis Tranquilo offers three packages:
“The Secret Wedding”: This is a package designed for a minimalist wedding… the bride, groom, and another couple as their witnesses. Many couples would like a ceremony other than the local courthouse, so we offer the scenic property at The Oasis. Couples can choose from a ceremony under the oak tree or near the swimming pool, which is surrounded by lush greenery.
The pool offers a waterfall for added atmosphere, as well as candles and flowers resting atop a surfboard in the pool! This is a most romantic location in the evening, as there is also an array of colorful lighting amidst the landscaping. The Secret Wedding also includes a small wedding cake from their onsite “Victoria’s Bake Shop”.
Upon availability, or with advanced notice, the newlyweds may also opt for a night’s stay at our own B&B, “Hill Country Oasis Bed and Breakfast”. This is a perfect spot for a honeymoon night, as you will be the only guests staying here!
“The Elopement Package”: Although not a true elopement, you will be able to invite up to 60 guests for your special day! You will have access to Oasis Tranquilo for one hour the day before the wedding, for a rehearsal. On the day of your wedding, you will have the venue, oak tree, patio, and courtyard for a total of five hours for your wedding and reception. A wedding cake for you and your 60 guests is also included.
“The Premier Package”: This is for the ultimate wedding experience at Oasis Tranquilo! The venue is yours for fifteen hours on the day of your wedding; beginning at 9:00 am for decorating and preparing for the big day. You are also afforded one hour the day before if you wish to have a rehearsal dinner at Oasis Tranquilo. You are welcome to bring in your own food or choose from one of their recommended caterers.
This package also includes a wedding cake from Victoria’s Bake Shop, for up to 150 guests.
The bride and her bridesmaids will have Hill Country Oasis Bed and Breakfast as their private area to prepare for the ceremony. They may also indulge in lounging by the pool and swimming if your schedule permits.
After the wedding, you can return to the B&B for a secluded night without any travel.
Oasis Tranquilo Special Events Venue has wedding prices ranging from $1500-$3900.

Parking is on-site and close to the venue, making for a short walk.
