The Big White Barn

The Big White Barn has a passion for faith, family, and community.  The barn was born out of those passions. The owners are Christian homeschoolers and part of that homeschooling experience is attending contra dances.  (If you’ve ever seen Gone with the Wind and the Virginia Reel, then you’ve basically got the idea.)

The owners built The Big White Barn on three basic principles:

1. Create something truly beautiful
2. Create a place for the community to come together
3. Create a place where families are born and supported

Because the Big White Barn is a barn venue, it’s often described as “rustic”.

The owners have also strived to bring a vintage beauty to their venue from the antique vanities in the bridal suite, to the lights and draping in the main areas. They might best be described as Rustic Elegance.

One other unique feature of The Big White Barn is its playground. Tastefully designed to compliment the beauty of the venue itself, the playground is also another example of their passion for families and bringing the larger community together.

• What makes The Big White Barn unique or special?

Walking into The Big White Barn, the owners said they often get the comment, “It is so peaceful out here”. It really is an opportunity to relax and enjoy your day.

• How many guests can the venue accommodate?

They can accommodate up to 300. Most weddings are between 150-200 guests.

• Do they have indoor and outdoor ceremony / reception options?  (i.e. backup plans for rain).

Yes, they do! They have our ceremony lawn outdoors, the covered pavilion, and also their indoor space.

• What is the average package price?

Their Classic Package runs between $4100-$6700 for a weekend date depending on date and season. They also have a Grand Package for over 200 guests.

• Are outside vendors allowed?

Yes, although they do require alcohol vendors be from their approved list.

• What is included in the average wedding experience (catering, rentals, props, etc)? 

Their Classic package includes 12 hours of full venue use. This includes tables and chairs and they always handle breakdown and cleanup. They do have some additional rental items available as well.
