Jessica and Isaiah were all set to get married earlier this year, however, COVID had other plans for them. So, I have been anxiously waiting for December ever since! They are going to be getting married at the gorgeous Stoney Ridge Villa and I have a feeling it’s going to be one for the books! Now that we’re just a few months out (again, ha) – I thought I would share their beautiful engagement session at Prairie Creek Park in excited anticipation of their upcoming nuptials!
And so, without further ado, let’s take a quick dive into their love story!
Origin Story
Jessica says they met on her very first day of college at TSU in Houston: “It was during the most boring class I ever had: discrete mathematics. So, I was so glad he was there to brighten it up!”
They spent the first year as just friends until one night changed everything. Jessica: “The first time I realized I had feelings for him was during spring break. We were starving college students and decided one night to make food and have a movie night in his dorm room”. Isaiah: “We made cinnamon rolls, drank wine, and laughed about stupid stuff! lol” Jessica: “He was such a gentleman!” Isaiah: “From that moment, I saw us being together forever.”
The Proposal
From him: “We took a weekend trip to Barton Creek Resort in Austin to celebrate her birthday. I felt like this was the perfect time to pop the question. That Saturday, before going out for the night, I took her on the balcony…”
From her: “There he started telling me how much he loved me and proposed! I wish I could’ve rehearsed it though, because I couldn’t remember the one word I was supposed to say!! I just stuttered “I do” like an idiot, lol! He laughed and said “well okay?” haha!”
From him: “I thought that was so funny. And she was so emotional it scared me, but it was very nice and beautiful and romantic!”
Prairie Creek Park Engagement Photo Session
The mix of the beautiful trees, unique stair and rock formations, the gorgeous waterfall, and their vibrant and sweet personalities had me heart-eyed from the first moment we started shooting. These are two of the most kind-hearted, and genuine people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and I think that just oozes out through their images. Prairie Creek Park was a beautiful and vibrant backdrop for their session.
To say that I’m honored to be their Dallas wedding photographer would be an understatement. I absolutely cannot wait for their big day in just a few months. I have a hunch that it’s going to be absolutely spectacular. (Edited to add: it was indeed!! Check out their beautiful Stoney Ridge Villa wedding.)
In the meantime, I hope you will enjoy a few of my favorites from their beautiful engagement session below!
