Colleyville Nature Center (which is nestled in the heart of Colleyville, Texas) is a location I recommend often for engagement sessions. With 46 acres of natural refuge, the park includes nine ponds and over three miles of trails. Because of the natural setting, it provides a romantic backdrop among the lush greenery. In short, Colleyville Nature Center is a gorgeous place for engagement or other portrait photos.

The Location

Located just 30 minutes from the heart of downtown Dallas and only 20 minutes from Fort Worth, Colleyville Nature Center is conveniently located. It also provides a quiet, picturesque setting for an engagement session. Another highlight is that you are sure to see some wildlife during your time there. For instance, the ponds are fully stocked with fish and there are several species of birds, including owls, around.

However, one thing to note: after it rains, the trails can get a bit muddy. So, be sure to check the weather and plan accordingly.
