I had the great honor of photographing Erin and Jake’s wedding this summer. It was an incredibly beautiful day and if I could go back and do it all over again, I would, in a heartbeat! However, since I don’t have a time machine, I figured I would do the next best thing and at least re-live their downtown Dallas photoshoot through their sweet engagement photos!

How They Met

These two first met at the gym in 2016, where Jake admits to spending most of his workout “trying to figure out what to say to her”. Their first date was at a bowling alley where Erin says she knew immediately that he was the one: “He was the kindest and sweetest person ever. Kinda like when you find your wedding dress… when ya know ya know! haha”

Since then, they have traveled, supported one another as they chased their dreams, built a home together, and are co-parents to two incredibly cute fur babies: Milo and Tobi. (Who they adorably named their specialty drinks after at their wedding). They are the kind of couple that you know, within minutes of talking with them, that they were meant for one another. They are both such beautiful souls and their loyalty and love for one another is overwhelmingly obvious and the sweetest thing to witness. I couldn’t be happier for these two!

Their Favorite Things

From Jake:  “Erin is personable, lovable, and a leader. My favorite thing about her is her mindset. Everything she sets her mind to, she accomplishes. She is the most dedicated, hard-working, and supportive person I know. I ask her to do crazy things with me and think she will say no, but she will always do it to make me happy. And actually does it with ambition. She, without one complaint, will make any type of sacrifice to achieve goals either for herself or others.”

From Erin:  “Jake is hard-working, supportive, and honest.  He is so funny & has all these jokes! I love how he treats our dogs as his children. He literally does anything and everything for me. He is the sweetest man alive! (& sexiest haha)”
