The Venue

Lazy S Hacienda is a lovely wedding venue located in Weatherford, Texas. It’s a unique wedding venue ideal for couples looking for a luxurious and sustainable venue for their wedding. While the 40-acre ranch itself has roots that go back as far as 1898, the venue is a brand new construction that combines the hacienda’s unique heritage with innovation and technology.

After speaking with the owner, we learned that they built Lazy S Hacienda because they were passionate about providing a place for people to come together and celebrate with loved ones. They designed the venue with inspiration from upscale Mexican resorts in the Tulum area and the Spanish hacienda-style in general.

The owners of the Lazy S Hacienda have taken great care in creating a luxurious venue that is environmentally friendly. The property complies with the highest sustainability standards, not only in terms of its building and facilities but also in terms of its day-to-day operations.

The Property

During the construction, locally sourced and recycled materials were used wherever possible. The result is an impressive property full of amazing details and beautiful backdrops for gorgeous wedding photos.

With over 5500 sq ft of interior space, an additional 2000 sq ft of covered outdoor patio space, and a rooftop terrace give enough space for an amazing wedding with a maximum of 215 seated guests.

The expansive property also offers a variety of stunning indoor and outdoor ceremony and receptions sites.

When you choose the Hacienda, you have exclusive rental of the entire property. This way you can enjoy your wedding day with your loved ones in peace and privacy. Plus, you can fully customize the event and make use of all of the facilities – including luxury cars and gorgeous horses, all provided in a unique setting to bring your dreams to life.

Part of what makes The Lazy S Hacienda so special are the unique details of the aesthetics (Modern Mexican) and the local artisan work included in the creation of the venue. Many past clients have raved about the bridal suite and groom suite – they are very calming, clean and spacious!

From their huge, antique wooden front doors, to the Talavera tile on the grand stairs, to the handmade fringe chandelier made from tractor tires. The reception hall sconces were handmade by an artist in New Mexico. The custom-made Macrame chandelier that hangs in the center is incredible. With such a unique aesthetic for this part of Texas, a Modern Mexican vibe, the venue is where Marfa meets Mexico.

The Perks

The top 3 perks of getting married at The Lazy S Hacienda include:

• Weekend Wedding Collections so that you and your guests can enjoy a “destination type feel” but without having to travel far from home or out of the country. They recently renovated the Hacienda Residence which transforms the venue into a boutique resort.
• A “Solo Dia” event which is your typical one full-day event rental. They also offer “Tapas, Toasts and Tying the Knot” which is their twist on micro-weddings.
• They also offer a huge bridal suite with a glam room and a living room that includes a full kitchen and bath. The grooms also have a large suite connected to their stables that provide a place for fun and preparation. It is a 2 bedroom, 2 full bath suite with living area and wet bar.

The Lazy S Hacienda is unique in that it offers cocktail hayrides at sunset, horseback riding, cowboy singer or poet by the campfire, movies on our bluff side ceremony site, hay bail jumping and more. They even house one of JFK’s Presidential limousines for the most amazing photo ops! This is one of the limos in the fleet President John F Kennedy used while traveling in Texas and couples love to get photos in this vintage piece of history.

12hr Full Use of the Facility, Bluffside Ceremony Site and Reception Hall. Rooftop Deck, Stable Suites and Hacienda Suite. Day of Coordinator. Luxury Tables + Seating. An Open Vendor Policy (COI Required). Floor Plan Setup and Breakdown.

• How much does the venue cost?
Pricing starts at $8,250 for a 12h Friday or Sunday venue rental. And goes up to $22,500 for a full luxury weekend rental.

• Do they allow outside vendors?
They do allow outside vendors. But, request that clients use their preferred vendor list or get prior approval for vendors not on this list.

• How’s parking?
There is valet parking available on site.

• Are there easily accessible hotels nearby?
The hacienda offers overnight accommodations for up to 3 couples. There are hotel and Airbnb options available in Weatherford, just a few minutes from the venue.
