Once upon a time, I got to photograph a beautiful wedding at Noor in Pasadena for a vibrant and incredibly loving couple; Paige and Eric.  I worked very closely with them and their family during the wedding process and grew to absolutely adore them.  So when one of their best friends – who happened to be in their wedding party – reached out just under 2 years later about her own wedding (that Paige and Eric were going to be in the wedding party for); I was over the moon!  As I had suspected, Jen & JP (aka Jonathon) were without a doubt just as incredible of people and it was an absolute blast getting to reunite and celebrate with them all again; but this time for Jen & JP at their Sheraton Universal Hotel Wedding!

(Did I mention that I met Paige and Eric through another one of my amazing bride and grooms, Sarah and David, from 2016 – who were ALSO at Paige & Eric’s wedding!?  3 of my wedding couples all at one wedding – how fun is that!?  I know, so cool.  But alright, enough reminiscing now: on to these cuties’ wedding day!)

The Wedding Day

The entire day took place at the Sheraton Universal Hotel; a beautiful hotel tucked away in Universal City.  Jen chose this venue for a few reasons; it was important that everything be in one location so that no one had to worry about transportation – she wanted everyone to enjoy themselves to the fullest and dance the night away – and that was a huge success!  She also loved the elegance the Grand Ballroom and surrounding areas had to offer, especially with the incredible chandeliers, and I couldn’t agree more; it really was the perfect fit for her beautiful day!

One of my absolute favorite moments of the entire day was the First Look.  JP’s reaction to seeing Jen (in her stunning Martina Liana dress from Lili Bridals; which is quickly becoming one of my favorite bridal boutiques!) is going to stick with me for a long time!  It was one of the most genuine and raw reactions I’ve ever seen.  He said his reaction even took him by surprise, he was so overwhelmed!  It was a gorgeous moment.  I can’t get over how cute these two are together!!

I could go on and on about this wedding.  About how beautiful and unique their nighttime ceremony was; surrounded by uplit trees, with the twinkling stringed lights overhead, a beautifully decorated chuppah, with them standing underneath a chandelier and a candle wall behind them while they said their “I Do’s”.  About how gorgeous the ballroom was and how awesome of a party it was.  About the fact that their wedding was so elegant and classy, but they also snuck in beer pong stations during cocktail hour and an In-N-Out truck that came mid-party!  Or even about how the day was overflowing with love and surrounded by people who so clearly adored them.  Instead, I think I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking… because I just don’t think I could quite do it justice otherwise.
